The other day my wife had a craving, Mac & Cheese. You know you’ve become a little addicted to cooking when the first thing you think is to make it from scratch. So that’s what I did (minus the cheese mix). It takes about 20 minutes from start to finish. Here’s what you’ll need:
Start of by setting a pot of water to a rolling boil. Add salt and pasta and cook until Al-Dente (roughly 7 minutes).
While the pasta cooks, melt the butter over medium heat, and once melted, mix the flour and whisk occasionally until the mixture starts to foam. (yup, i just had you make a rue
)
Once foaming add the Heavy Cream and whisk until mixed. Increase heat to medium-high and when just starting to boil, mix in the cheese until smooth. Remove from heat. If it looks too think for you whisk in the skim milk a little at a time, until it’s a consistency you prefer.
Drain pasta when done cooking, and mix the cheese and pasta. Serve Immediately. If desired put a dash of Cheyenne powder on the top of the bowl before serving.
Update: Serves 2

Ok, so the term ‘Hack’ is a bit loose here but with Google’s new Voice Search app for Android devices, you can now speak “Note to self” and your message, and it will email it…to yourself. I’ve created the following little ‘hack’ to help me keep my notes better organized.
You’ll need 3 things for this to work:
1. An Android device with the Google Voice search app installed
2. A label in GMail called “Notes To Self”
3. The “Multiple Inbox” lab feature enabled on your GMail account
